ABES College: Faculty Suspended for Asking Student to Leave Stage After 'Jai Shree Ram' Chant

In a recent incident at ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a student was asked to leave the stage during a cultural festival for chanting “Jai Shree Ram.” The video of this incident went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the college.

Two faculty members, Mamata Gautam and Shweta Sharma, were suspended after a high-level committee was formed to investigate the matter and recommend appropriate action within 24 hours. Sanjay Kumar Singh, the Director of ABES College, confirmed this in a video statement.

Netizens have largely supported the college’s decision, and there were plans for a protest by the Hindu Raksha Dal against the faculty member who asked the student to leave the stage. The police are also investigating the incident, and it has been clarified that no action will be taken against the student.
