Brazilian influencer Luana Andrade’s life came to a tragic end as complications arose during knee liposuction surgery.
The procedure, conducted at a Sao Paulo hospital, was marred by unforeseen complications, leading to a series of cardiac arrests.
Luana Andrade, aged 29, endured four cardiac arrests during the surgery, which ultimately resulted in her untimely demise.
The surgery was interrupted when Luana’s heart ceased to function for nearly two and a half hours. Subsequently, she was moved to the intensive care unit as medical professionals attempted resuscitation.
A subsequent medical investigation uncovered that Luana had a blood clot in her lung, attributed to thrombosis. This condition was identified as the cause of the massive thrombosis.
In a statement, the hospital explained, “The surgery was interrupted, and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the ICU, where she underwent medication and hemodynamic treatment.”
Tragically, Luana Andrade passed away around 5.30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, leaving her loved ones in grief.
Her boyfriend, Joao Hadad, took to Instagram to express his deep sorrow, saying, “I am torn apart and living my biggest nightmare. A part of me left.”
Luana Andrade was a well-known Instagram influencer and the founder of Lukand, a clothing brand. She had also worked as a stage assistant for the Brazilian TV show Domingo Legal.
In 2022, she participated in the reality show Power Couple Brasil 6, where couples engage in various challenges and tasks.
