In a significant operation, security forces in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, have successfully arrested an individual linked to the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front (TRF). The operation also resulted in the recovery of incriminating materials, arms, ammunition, and a substantial amount of cash from the individual’s possession.
The arrest took place at checkpoint Ushkara in Baramulla, where security forces had established a presence following credible information regarding potential terrorist activity in the area.
The police spokesperson provided details about the operation, stating that during a routine security check, a suspicious individual was observed approaching the checkpoint on foot. Upon noticing the police and security forces, the suspect attempted to flee the scene, but the vigilant security personnel tactfully apprehended him.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Ushkara.
During the arrest, security forces discovered two hand grenades and ₹40,000 in cash in his possession. The matter has been registered in Baramulla.
