The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has commenced the registration process for the Constable (General Duty) Examination 2023. This significant recruitment drive aims to fill 75,768 posts across various central forces. The registration begins on November 24, 2023, and interested candidates can apply through the official website, ssc.nic.in.

The closing date for the online application process is set for December 28, 2023. Candidates eyeing positions in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), National Investigation Agency (NIA), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles should mark these dates.

Exam Schedule

The SSC Constable (GD) exam is scheduled for February 2024. This gives ample time for aspirants to prepare for the various stages of the selection process.

Selection Process

The recruitment comprises several stages, including a Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination, and Document Verification.

CBT Exam Pattern

The CBE consists of an objective-type paper with 80 questions, each carrying 2 marks. The paper is divided into four parts, covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. Negative marking is applicable, with 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

  2. Complete the registration form with personal details.
  3. Log in with the generated credentials.
  4. Fill in the application form and upload required documents.
  5. Pay the application fees.
  6. Download and print the application confirmation page.

Candidates will be placed in various positions, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman in Assam Rifles (AR), and Sepoy in NIA.
