The younger sister-in-law agreed, but a peculiar curse took effect: every child born to her would survive for only seven days. This ongoing tragedy prompted the family to seek advice from a priest.
The priest’s counsel was to serve the Surhi cow. The family diligently followed this advice, and in return, Surhi cow bestowed her blessings. While taking Surhi cow to Syahu’s mother, a snake threatened to harm Garuda’s baby. The moneylender’s daughter-in-law bravely killed the snake and saved Garuda’s baby. News of this courageous act reached Syahu’s mother, who, moved by the selfless service, blessed the younger daughter-in-law with the ability to become the mother of seven children.
