Prabhas’ Another Film, Adipurush Was Ruined Because Of Poor VFX
Adipurush, the ambitious mythological film starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, was supposed to be a visual spectacle that would showcase the grandeur of the Ramayana on the big screen. However, the film turned out to be a huge disappointment for the fans and critics alike, who slammed the film for its poor VFX and CGI. Probably why Salaar makers want to spend more time on film’s post production.
The film, directed by Om Raut and made on a budget of Rs 500 crore, used motion capture technology and computer-generated imagery (CGI) to create the world of Adipurush. However, the technology failed to impress the viewers, who found the graphics to be unrealistic, cartoonish and outdated. The film’s teaser, which was released on October 2, 2022, received a lot of backlash for its subpar animation and VFX. Many compared the film’s visuals to Hollywood blockbusters like Game of Thrones, Planet of the Apes, Jungle Book and others, and found Adipurush to be inferior in quality.
