After a promising debut at the box office, Kushi, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, experienced a decline in its collections on its first Saturday, September 2. The movie earned Rs 9 crore on its second day with 40% drop bringing its total collection to Rs 24 crore.
Film was promoted heavily and expected to do well due to craze around lead pair. But after good opening on day one around 15 cr, this massive drop on day two does not give much hope to the makers of the film. Film was also released in Tamil and its a complete disaster over there with 1 cr collection.

Kushi Might Wrap Under 40 Cr Net All India
Adding to its worry, Kushi is expected to face tough competition on September 7 when Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan hit the theatres. Jawan will also be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Film is in danger to be wrapped under 40 cr net India number.
Kushi has received mixed reviews from critics. This might be another failure for Vijay Deverekonda after disaster business of Pan India film Liger. That film was co produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
