Rakshit Chaurasia, a 20-year-old law student, has taken full responsibility for the accident that killed one and injured four.
A shocking video from Gujarat's Vadodara shows a high-speed car ramming into a two-wheeler, resulting in the tragic death of a woman and injuring four others. The driver, Rakshit Chaurasia, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and driving recklessly when the accident occurred. In the viral videos, he was seen stepping out of the car, shouting incoherently, and repeatedly saying, "Another round" and "Om Namah Shivay."
Tragic Incident: What Happened?
The accident took place when Hemaliben Patel, who was reportedly out to buy Holi colors, was hit by Chaurasia’s car. She died on the spot. The impact also left four others injured, including:

- Nishaben (35)
- Unidentified 10-year-old girl
- Unidentified 40-year-old man
Who Is Rakshit Chaurasia?
Rakshit Chaurasia hails from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where his family runs a tap business. He is currently pursuing law at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and lives in a Paying Guest accommodation in Vadodara.
Accident Details
Chaurasia and a friend were returning from Dera Circle after dropping off another friend with whom they had gone to witness Holika Dahan, a traditional bonfire lit on the eve of Holi.
"We were going ahead of a scooty. We were turning right, and there was a pothole on the road. There was a scooty and a car parked near the right turn. Our car touched the scooter, and the airbags opened. After that, I couldn't tell where the car went," Chaurasia narrated.
He claimed to be driving at a speed of 50-60 kmph at the time of the accident. However, police reports indicate that the vehicle was overspeeding.
Was He Drunk?
Initially, Chaurasia denied being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. However, later he admitted to consuming Bhaang (cannabis) before driving.
Legal Action & Investigation
The car belonged to his friend Meet Chauhan, who was in the co-driver’s seat at the time of the accident. According to DCP Panna Momaya, the police are also looking to arrest Meet Chauhan.
Chaurasia’s Statement
After realizing the severity of the accident, Chaurasia admitted his mistake and expressed remorse:
"I was told that one woman has died and a few have sustained injuries. I want to meet the family of the victims. It is my fault, and whatever they want should happen."
